While pursuing a career in veterinary medicine, the author discovered scientific illustration, deepening the connection between art and animal anatomy. Their artistic journey evolved to include pet portraits and an exploration of canine art through history—from ancient Egyptian depictions to modern works by Keith Haring and David Hockney.
