Call for Submissions: VETartNOW Exhibit at AVMA Convention 2026

Theme: Within the Natural World

10-14 July 2026

Within the Natural World invites veterinary artists to explore the depth and breadth of our work as part of a larger, living system. From clinical care to moments of quiet connection, veterinary medicine exists not outside of nature, but within it—woven into the lives of animals, humans, and the environments we share.

Inspired in part by the Gaia theory—the idea that Earth functions as a dynamic, interconnected whole—this theme expands our perspective beyond the individual patient to the wider web of life. Each act of care becomes part of a broader ecological story, where health, relationship, and environment are inseparable.

This theme welcomes a wide range of artistic expression—scientific, emotional, abstract, or narrative—reflecting the many roles veterinarians play across species, settings, and stages of life. Together, these works honor the connections that sustain us and the living world we are privileged to serve within.

Submission deadline: June 10
